Whether we are in quarantine or not, we all know that we need to stay safe and maintain our social distancing practices along with other measures we take to keep our loved ones safe. This includes working from home for as long as possible, and with no set end date for this pandemic, we must be prepared for anything in the long run.

This includes having our own retreat at home when work becomes tedious and boring, you can definitely relate to this, right?

To get to the point, the home garden is exactly what you and we need during this period in recent history! You won't need to leave the house to get fresh air in a well-maintained and cared-for outdoor-like environment. And what this will give you is an outdoor garden makeover at your home.

Here are the best tips, tricks, and items to look for that can transform a garden in an instant!

Get comfortable seating

One of the key things you'll need to make your garden usable at your leisure is comfortable seating, so this could be an outdoor furniture set consisting of chairs and a table, or perhaps rocking chairs, or even a set of bean bags!

Outdoor Lighting

You can't hang a ceiling lamp or a chandelier, and you don't need them to add charm to your garden! There are some things you can do to turn that to your advantage, one of which is string lights! Another is LED curtain lights.

Just imagine the garden gate accompanied by these elements...

Dedicate a drink and coffee corner

If you're going to enjoy your day in the garden or even work in it, you'll need your drinks and snacks with you, right? Designate a side of the garden to transform into your own small cafe, whether it's just a coffee corner or if you want a fridge, grill, and water dispenser. Just thinking about it gave us a party vibe!

Storage box / Storage furniture

Think about it, while you've had clutter in the garden before or thought about it, it wouldn't hurt to keep that in mind first, right? You can get some drawer units, storage benches, banquettes, or an outdoor table with some secret storage. Storing things in it can save you some time if you were to have to get something from inside.

Plants, plants, and more plants!

What were you expecting? It's a garden after all. Some small plants, some other large plants, stone pots, wooden pots... you name it! Some people prefer to get some large artificial plants to improve the view a bit and not have to take good care of them, but if your garden is sunny and has access to water and open air, why not give yourself some extra oxygen?

Gather around the TV

Having a large TV screen in the middle of your garden and all the seating arranged around it in the middle of the night or in the morning is an outdoor cinema experience that anyone would desire. Some popcorn and sodas with a group of friends, or even the family's children enjoying an animated movie while the adults have their own gathering inside. It sounds like a dream come true if you ask us.

Your own studio

This is a rather unconventional way to reconfigure your garden; it could be your art studio, a meditation and yoga area, or even your gym! We realized that a studio can be whatever you want it to be. If it's a gym, you'll use your gym equipment, and if it's a yoga area, perhaps you'll consider adding decor and a water feature nearby? As the sound of water soothes the soul and calms the mind.

Whatever you decide to turn your home garden into, make sure to transform it into a comfortable and functional space. And don't be afraid to splurge on it. It's worth it to have an open-air area just a few steps away from you that can become the main hangout spot at home.
